Re: 2011 Vegas Regional

A big thanks to our great alliance partners 2984 and 60 for our win yesterday and our tough finals opponents 1572, 359 and 2496. The regional turned out to be tougher than we thought it would be going in to it with tough defense being played and tube control strategies...a foreshadowing of things to come in St. Louis??? Glenn, it was a pleasure having at least one match together. One of these days we will play together during eliminations!

As a member of the Regional Planning Committee, a shout out to all of the teams that demonstrated so much coopertition and such positive energy! Thanks for making this another great regional.

Amazing regional. I was very impressed with the level of work and consistency 2984 managed to operate at. This was not the same team in San Diego.

We're going to worlds, and going to have to step everything up a notch again.

2984 Had a very consistent mini bot thanks for your help in elims!

Team 60, I don't know how you guys made it all the way around with out getting picked, but it was great to play on the same side in eliminations for a change. Your bot has one of the best drive trains in FIRST, you can push anybody across the field! Team 60 is such a team player. Team 987 really enjoyed playing with you. I hope we get the chance to play with you in St. Louis.

Special thanks to 3011 for the students all the way from Germany that volunteered at the regional. We appreciate your help and hope you come back next year.

Also congratulations to 3009 for winning Engineering Inspiration Award. 3009 is a real up and comer and keeps getting better every year. It is great to see another Nevada team succeed. I'm not sure if they are going to STL but if you are, team 987 wishes you the best of luck! (We also picked up your banner that was left at the Thomas & Mack)

I hope every team had a great experience and comes back next year!

Re: 2011 Vegas Regional

Definitely a very competitive regional! Congrats to High Rollers, Vikings, and Bulldogs for the hard fought win!

Highlight of the regional: talking with Bill Miller for 15 minutes

Re: 2011 Vegas Regional

I'd like to thank the Vikings and the High Rollers for picking us, even though we had had some trouble on Friday. Thanks a ton guys.

Thanks to the volunteers, judges, and refs for putting on another great regional. And thanks to all the teams for doing your best and making it a competitive regional.
