Building Off/Pre-Season Pneumatic system (Rookie)

Hello CD,
Since our regional is over in NY, we are a rookie team and we were going through the KOP and thought it would be great to learn how a pneumatic system is built.

We were able to find a tutorial on Team 358's site on how to build a pneumatic system and so-forth. We ordered three cylinders from www.bimba.com since they were donated.

From the how to guide on Team 358's site, it looks as if we need two storage tanks to have a working pneumatic system. Is this correct? The 2011 KOP only included one storage tank.

Also, it seems as though there are parts that don't seem to fit well like the tubing into the 1/4 NPT part (correct me if i'm wrong please.)

Any type of advice would be greatly appreciated

Than you in advance

The number of storage tanks are related to how much/how fast you plan to use air. One is fine, but I'd suggest at least one.

The KOP did not come with push-to-connect fittings which are necessary to build a system. They were available as one of the FIRST Choice selections.
Otherwise, I'd suggest borrowing some fittings from a nearby team or ordering some of your own (example).

besides the push-to-connect, we did not receive a "2 Festo Valve" on the Manual provided by usfirst.org. Was that part of the 2010 KOP?

You should have received one of these 24v solenoid valves in the 2010 Kit. Only rookies got them this year.

I see you last played in 2008, so you'd have an equivalent 12v solenoid valve and push-to-connect fittings from then if it wasn't all lost.
