2011 Bayou Regional Winners

So how is the venue and surrounding areas?
This is an event we are serious about attending next year, due to the whole Mardi Gras atmosphere and stuff.

I think Bayou is a great Regional especially because of the Mardi Gras and atmosphere. I went to Lonestar Regional and like Bayou much better. After all they do not call New Orleans the "Big Easy" for nothing. This year Bayou had about 10 rookie teams but the matches were intense. Match 1 of the finals was won because of a tie by our minibot.

It's a very fun and small regional. Most of the teams know each other in some way, shape, or form, usually friendships from previous schools or work. Many of the mentors in this are come from the NASA Stennis Space Center, so the mentors all know each other.
