Re: 2011 Curie Division

Team 126 is so ready for nationals! We have had some problems the last two competitions but now that those are straightened out we are ready to compete! With a consistent autonomous, 7-8 tubes per match and a 1.1 second minibot, we are ready , let' break this dry spell Curie!

Re: 2011 Curie Division

I think that one of the things that is going to make Curie interesting is that it is not top-heavy. It has many many very solid teams. In my opinion, that will make for very interesting qualifications and eliminations... The 8th pick for eliminations may very well be as solid as the 15th pick. I think we are going to see the best matches out of all the divisions in Curie...

Re: 2011 Curie Division

I'll throw in for 57. Don't be fooled by that low OPR, that was all tubes without a functioning minibot. We're bringing a fast minibot and deployment, and have a good autonomous, so I'm liking our chances for playing on Saturday afternoon.

Not sure how you can say that with both 67 and 71 on the field with us. Check out their stats.....particularly CMP championships and Einstein appearances...

I disagree with this statement.

Curie has: 67 (two time defending world champion and 2011 MSC Champion), 2056 (Still undefeated record at regionals and part of current 2011 high score record holder of 150 - just filthy good), 71 (Beatty, enough said), 987 (maybe a little bias here, but we did win a WC at this similar game in 2007 and two Regionals this year), 365, 245, 573, 51, 968 and 1717 (southern CA powerhouses), ...on and on.

The teams in Curie this year have a combined 11 world championships (back to 1992), Galileo has 8, Archimedes has 7, and Newton has 6.

(Since 2001: Curie 8WC, Galileo 7WC, Arch 7WC, Newton 4WC)

Appearances on Einstien since 2001: Curie 23, Galileo 23, Newton 22, Arch 17.

Underestimated, yes. Weak, no.

I have a feeling that some of the lesser known (nationally) teams will have an impact this year, too, such as 1983, 2363, 1986, and 1678.

World Champions:
Curie: 71 (2004, 2002, 2001, 1997), 67 (2010, 2009, 2005), 987 (2007), 365 (2001), 176 (1999), and 126 (1992)
Galileo: 111 (2009, 2003), 294 (2010, 2001), 1114 (2008), 469 (2003), 173 (2002), and 48 (1999)
Arch: 177 (2010, 2007), 190 (2007), 330 (2005), 503 (2005), 435 (2004), 45 (1998)
Newton: 148 (2008, 1993), 217 (2008, 2006), 25 (2000), 494 (2004)

(Bob Steele beat me to the point....)

no bias necessary Trent...
All anyone has to do is to watch one of your matches...

2 tube auto
2 logos
Fast minibot.

What team could ask for more in an alliance partner...

see you in 10 days... hopefully on our end of the field

Totally not what I meant, believe me I know 71,67,2056 are powerhouses but what i'm trying to say is that if you check the hype of the other divisions they believe there are stronger powerhouses for instance 1114. The teams I listed above are incredible teams and their in my opinion a lot of other spectacular teams waiting to emerge during this tournament.I believe we have a great shot at taking it! And your right experience does play an incredible role. (I also give you two points for the 1717 reference.) We are basically are under hyped which is a mistake in my opinion.

No problem.... I think you hit the nail on the head....other division HYPE...
From my experience... the cream will rise to the top... I also remember our first year...2007 and how a little all maroon team that no one thought could win took it all from a division that was supposed to be the "lowest" ranking division... (Do you remember that Trent? The Maroon Wall. (987, 177, 190).

How could you forget...??? .)

By the way, we look forward to pitting with you guys... we should be right next to each other!!! 1986 and 1983!!

Good luck to you guys!! We have several teams celebrating their 5th year...
Let's put some of them on Einstein!!
