P60 Gearbox

Anyone have any P60 gearboxes on hand? One of ours on our main arm base just broke. Gears chipped and shaft bent. We need a 132:1 or greater reduction. Any help is much appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Austin

****Scratch****550's sorry forgot to add that ****End Scratch****

Actually as long as you have a P60 gearbox we have the back-plate for the 550 motor we are using

Re: P60 Gearbox

Are we to assume that you're heading to the Championship and need the gearbox there?

If so, I've got a spare 1:256 RS775 gearbox I could lend you. I'll hunt around a little more in our parts and see if I can turn up the necessary parts to whip up something closer to a 1:132, but I think we mostly have 1:4 stages at this point.

Exactly what all is broken on your gearbox? We ordered parts ala carte from BB and they had an amazingly short leadtime. You might just order a new front block + shaft from them and whatever new gears you need.

I can attest to the short leadtime.

As a side note, are you using the default aluminum body or steel? We had some problems with the body damaging the gears and falling apart until we switched them with steel.

We noticed the steel ring gear machined quite differently than the aluminum one, with regards to the flats which go up against the roll pins. Some filing of the steel ring gear was needed.

The ones we got were fine out of the box.
