sqrt(-1) = i (imaginary numbers always have this somewhere)
2^3 = 8
capital sigma = Σ (usually means "sum")
pi should be self-explanatory.

Two raised to the power of three is eight.
The Greek letter Σ (sigma) represents a sum.
And, of course, the name of the Greek letter π (pi) sounds like the English word pie.
