Hi,
I'm trying to use the IFI Loader (the latest version available here : http://www.vexforum.com/wiki/index.p...are_Downloads), but I always get the same error when trying to download a hex or bin file to the Cortex : "unknown device ID (0)" Here's what I've tried so far to get rid of this problem :
I don't know what to do now. Does anybody know how to solve this problem ? Thanks |

Re: "unknown device id (0)" error - IFI Loader - Cortex
The IFI loader is designed to load code on to a Microchip PIC18 microcontroller... not a Cortex.
I don't know anything about the Cortex controller for VEX, I suggest you read the documentation on this site: http://www.vexrobotics.com/products/.../276-2194.html Last edited by RyanN : 16-04-2011 at 13:28. |

Re: "unknown device id (0)" error - IFI Loader - Cortex
Interesting ! So how can you download files to the cortex, without using RobotC nor EasyC ? Is there a specific loader or something ?
Thanks in advance Last edited by alcinos : 16-04-2011 at 18:59. |

Re: "unknown device id (0)" error - IFI Loader - Cortex
I believe you need an easyC or the ROBOTC package... I'm not 100% sure on this, but by reading some documentation, I have that assumption.
