This might open up a few new possiblities. Is their something constructive the other two bots can do during auton?

I don't think there is really anything in autonomous besides scoring and positioning the robot for teleop. I guess for a robot like 1503 to be in best position to go into a lane.

so what's the penalty for "accidentally" placing your robot on the field backward, and spearing towards and bumping your opponents so they mis their auto.

not that I'd ever suggest that...

Crossing the center of the field in autonomous is prohibited.

It would cost you a 3 point penalty to cross the center lane.

And another 3-point Penalty if you get to the other team's Zone.

Plus a Red Card if you hit one of their robots that is in that Zone.

1114 in 08 was incredible.. and reliable. knocking off both balls and making at least a full lap pretty much every round, they had such an advantage going into teleop. i dont know i can say the same about this, because as reliable as this may be, you might be better off just doing two tubes (i know they can do that ) and letting another reliable robot put up the third. of course thats something im gonna be on the lookout for during CMP's. will they even have the necessity to pull off three tubes? i guess theres only one way to find out! cant wait for thursdayyy

I wonder what match is this rumored to be? I only got to watch pink once today on webcast.

A possible idea for fun in the off-season:
There should be a autonomous "style" contest at an off-season event. Judges rate the robot on how cool its autonomous is. E.g. Spins, picking first tube off ground before hanging (910 for example), and double/triple tube autonomous (bonus for going within the 15 second time limit)

We have been able to do it on the practice field near our pit area yesterday. During competition, we came close once but missed the grab of the 3rd tube.

We still have an assortment of issues to work out: new minibot not deploying, minor kinks in autonomous, tubes seem overinflated so adjustments on the gripper is needed. Just a little frustrating yesterday but it is how it goes.

I am hoping we can resolve them and look strong by the end of the day today (preferably sooner).
