JFrame Custom Dashboard?

I heard some teams were able to make their own dashboard using JFrames. My team would like to try out ZomB, but we can't get .NET to work with our driver station, and JFrame's seem like our last hope at a custom dashboard.

I'm wondering if this is truly possible, and if so, how did they do it?

Thanks.

Re: JFrame Custom Dashboard?

Yes, this is possible, and I have a very basic (and buggy) one. I will post it when it is worth sharing.

In the mean time, I'd look at WPI's smart dashboard: http://firstforge.wpi.edu/sf/projects/smartdashboard which is written in Java.
