Re: Respectful to other guests in your hotel
I'm missing something. Where's the controversy? As far as I can see, the posters in the thread are in agreement?

Re: Respectful to other guests in your hotel
Controversy may not have been the right word. What I should've said is that only on CD would people feel the need to discuss the finer points of being considerate to people.

Re: Respectful to other guests in your hotel
It takes a village.
Doesn't matter which students were 'acting up' (in any way) I am not afraid to scold them. Politely, of course, but don't ignore me or there will be consequences. I like to think our students are well-behaved but am not so naive to think they don't need a reminder every time. |

Re: Respectful to other guests in your hotel
For those of us outside of the central time zone 9pm does seem early but that's the norm there with the late news starting at 10pm rather than the 11pm the rest of the country is used to.
Our Hotel had a posted 9pm quiet hour. For the most part we had no problems with our or other students in the Hotel. In fact when a few members of our team were talking quietly near the elevators and away from the rooms one night a pair of couples exited their room(s) laughing quite loudly. They were around the corner and down the hall where they weren't visible. A couple of our students instinctively shushed them thinking they may have been fellow team members since we had some rooms down the hall. It was kind of funny when they rounded the corner and it was obvious they weren't robotics kids but half drunk 20 somethings heading back out "on the town". |
