I was surprised at the awards being made tonight, but it sort of made sense.

They were putting FIRST on the "same stage" as the performers, get it?

Wow. That is absolutely awesome. I've been rooting for them to win this for a while now. I have had a chance to work with them and get to know them after attending the 2008 Hawaiian Regional. They are an excellent team and it amazes me to this day how much the aloha spirit fits with FIRST.

Going back to when 1618 shared an arena with the Hawaiian Kids, we've known that they're a great group of people. This is exceptionally well-deserved--but I'd hate to be their cart-pusher with all the crowds that will be coming by to congratulate them tomorrow.
