Go to Post Ancient doesn't necessarily mean bad, but ancient things do fall out of use, otherwise I'd be tapping this out in morse code or writing it in Latin. - Greg McKaskle [more]

Thank you... Team 118, 148, 217, 341

On behalf of Team 108, I would like to thank Team 118 - Robonauts, Team 148 - Robowranglers, Team 217 - The Thunderchickens, Team 341 - Miss Daisy.

Team 118 - We have been pit neighbors for years and every single time you guys have helped us. This year you guys have gone further and gave us one of your minibots which we were able to implement in our robot with a new deployment system. You guys also have been tremendous help when it comes to borrowing parts and tools. Team 108 loves you guys.

Team 148, 217, 341 - I have no words to explain how excited my kids were after getting a tour of your robots from your students. They came back to our pit and said, "Wait... really? That was their students that built that robot?" Their eyes were lit up and they were very excited. They thought it was just simply cool what your teams have been able to accomplish. Team 341 also shared their business plan with us (now I am just hoping that our kids take some initiation).

It has been a rough few years for Team 108 as we are constantly struggling with financial support as well as student involvement. This year was finally the year we had several kids take control and I am excited to see what these students do in the years to come.

Arefin,

This is a great post. I am glad that 108 was able to attend the championship this year and got to work with the above mentioned elite level teams. A little bit of inspiration goes a long way, I think you'll be surprised how much more active the students are now in the team. I know for myself as a student after my first championship event in 2004, I was hooked.
