SCRRF teams need engineering mentors?
I have visibility of a few engineers who are looking for teams to get
involved with. However there are too many of you to contact individually. So if you need an engineer or so contact me and I'll see if I can get you connected. I listed them below by discpline and location, if you see one that might be close enough and that you have a real need for, contact me. There are multiple people for some disciplines/locations. I'm giving priority to rookie teams at this point. However, if you're a veteran team that lost somebody critical, like your one electrical got transfered out of state, let me know that too. Hopefully we can accommodate everybody. Structural/Mechanical - Long Beach, Cerritos, San Fernando Valley Systems Engineering - Torrance Electrical - Long Beach, Cerritos Christopher H Husmann (husmach@mail.northgrum.com) Co-Chair Mentor Recruitment Sub-committee Southern California Regional Committee Engineer Specialist Northrop Grumman Military Aircraft Systems Division One Hornet Way 9L22/W1 El Segundo, CA 90245 Desk (310) 331-7140 Pager (310) 232-4077 FAX (310) 332-7378 ------------------------------------ It is a sub-committee of the Regional committee, which is different from SCRRF, at least for now. SCRRF may eventually take over responsibility for the LA regional but right now it is organized by FIRST with help from this other committee of local people. I just kinda got drafted because I was trying to get Northrop Grumman to pony up $300K for the regional. That reminds me, I haven't heard on that so I should probably check with them. They did say they would give an answer one way or the other, so I guess at this point no news is good news, it means we're still in the running. Ric Roberts is my co-chair, and actually at the moment we are the whole committee. We currently have about 6-8 Raytheon and NG employees we are looking to place with teams. I have a couple I've slated for South, but I sent out the e-mail because I need a better picture of what the teams need. You don't go looking for electrical help at ASME, you go to IEEE.
