Southeast Michigan Teams

Hello folks, some of you know me, some of you don't. Few know the situation I'm in right now.

I am currently the only 4th year member of the Berkley High FIRST team. Do to a change in fundraising policy, I am no longer monetarily able to participate with the FIRST team and travel to regionals/nationals.

I am looking for a new team to work with in the Southeast Michigan area because I feel FIRST has been a big part of my life and I really don't want it to end now, if ever.

If your team is willing to accept members from outside of your own school, please drop me a line (contact information in signature below).

I don't care about how your team has been national champions or are up and coming rookies, I just want to stay a part of the competition.

Possible Teams

I was a member of FIRST teams in SE Michigan in High School. I know that most of the teams in this area have already set up their teams for the year. But if you are looking to become part of a new team I am afraid that you are going to have to do the legwork... you will have the best chance if you call teams and see if they will be able to let you participate. I would start my search for teams at the FIRST site, it lists all the registered teams for this year. You are going to have to take what this site gives you and look up contact info from there if you are really interested.
Go to http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/resources.htm and click on the FIRST Robotics Event Locator in the top right, click on michigan then click on what are the teams from this state.
Hope this helps.
