Types of USB Controllers

Are we limited to the types of controllers (joysticks) that we can use during competition? Or can we use any USB device as a controller as long as it is wired through the driver station?

Any game controller that works is legal.
The Driver Station will recognize HID standard USB game controllers, but won't look for keyboards, keypads or other non-game controllers devices.
