Re: You know you're addicted to FIRST when...

...You spend hours making plush robots.
...You are saving up money to start a team of your own.
...Your choosing your collage depending on the FRC teams in the aria.
...You call your bot pet names like 'baby' and 'sweety' and don't care who thinks your weird.
...You think every robot is cute.
...Your off season hobby is pacing around your house and waiting for build season to start.
...You will buy anything robot oriented.

... When your Principle of Engineering teacher has to ban Chief Delphi and other FIRST web sites in class.

... When your Driving a vehicle in Halo and you start doing the controls of your robot ( our team uses a 360 controller)

... When you skip out on a family outing to go to a robotic demo for your team

I love robotics =]

Re: You know you're addicted to FIRST when...

. . . When you see a large engine being transported by hand rather than fork truck, and when the safety crew walking in front crosses the threshold from one building to the next you yell, “ROBOT!” only to find everyone staring at you. (I had to explain that one.)

Re: You know you're addicted to FIRST when...

...you see a bunch of the field crew spending several minutes picking up "robot droppings" from one spot on the field...and you realize that you know just what kind of parts they are picking up, because a robot's turret broke.

In case you can't figure this one out: ball bearings.

After a regional, you spam all the social networks you belong to and try to generate people's interest in FIRST.

When you spend extended amounts of time (3/4 days) deciding on the fastest way to solve various issues, all robot related.

Re: You know you're addicted to FIRST when...

When working for your appliance repair company, you walk into customer's home & in conversation ask if they have teenagers in FIRST. And if they don't, how you can convince them that they can get better scholarships this way.
