Re: Scoring clarification
QS:
The Minibot is not a factor in quals, other than winning the match, scoring points, and all that. In elims, in the event of a tie, minibot winner gets one single point in the match score to win the match. (5.4.4) Ranking: Correct. Surrogates: Surrogates are not used in eliminations. Backup teams can be called in, but they are never called surrogates. Surrogates are teams who play an extra match in quals to ensure that all teams get the requisite number of matches. They get no qualification or ranking points. See Section 1.6 for the definition. (Note: Always the third match if using the FMS.) Ranking order: Correct. |

Re: Scoring clarification
Thanks a lot. What would be the easiest way to know whether a team is a surrogate or not, and do surrogate matches count toward the number of matches that team has played?

Re: Scoring clarification
Quote:
If (number of teams) * (number of matches) is divisible by 6, surrogates are not needed. Won't MARC be using the FMS software for scheduling, scoring and ranking? |

Re: Scoring clarification
MARC will be using FMS as usual, but for the last 3 years we've been trying to integrate a web-based stat system. Since we can't tie in directly to FMS, the system has to calculate everything by itself.
