Working on robots between regionals

Does anyone know if it is legal to work on your robot between regionals? My team is thinking of attending both the Silicon Valley Regional, and the Sacramento Regional next year, and we have no idea on whether we can work on our robot between regionals. If we can't, what do we do? We have the new rookies asking questions about that, and even we don't know the answer!

I hope this isn't an obvious question. I already searched for it in the search query, but I found nothing.

Thanks!

Re: Working on robots between regionals

**Warning: The following post has been proven in clinical trials to contain information based on the 2011 rules, which may or may not apply in future years. Always consult your official FRC manual to find out if older information is right for you.**

Your robot will be crated/bagged in between regionals, and you won't have access to it. You are free to bring parts into your second regional within the limits of the withholding allowance, but you won't have direct access to your robot until Thursday morning of your second event.

Andrew,
For bag and tag regionals only, teams are allowed limited access to their robots between events to make up for the lack of a third day of work provided to three day regionals. The limits, requirements and documentation vary from year to year so be careful to follow those rules as they apply in the year you are competing.

Al, that only applies to 2-day events.

2-day events are only held in MI (unless FIRST decides to run a few more next year).

All other events (again, unless something changes) are 3-day events, except for Championship (4 days, counting Wednesday night).
