Solenoid Valve Recommendation

I'm looking for a 4port, 120psi rated, 12-18 volt solenoid valve for a robot project. What are the best manufactures to look at and which are the most reliable.

Or;

I'm looking for an 850psi two way solenoid valve that's cheaper the Burkett 5404.

Re: Solenoid Valve Recommendation

The voltage of the solenoid is generally separate from the specs of the valve; it's commonly a separate piece on higher end valves. (You can get 12VDC. 24VDC 110VAC, etc...).

I've used SMC, festo and MAC valves, and all are quality products.

You didn't specify a desired flowrate, that really is the great variable here. Everyone will have a valve that meets that psi and voltage, they just get bigger and more expensive with the flowrate.

Re: Solenoid Valve Recommendation

If you can, find a pneumatics supplier locally, and walk in. Since you're only looking for one, they may have a floor model or incomplete package that they'll sell cheaply. Also, you'll be able to discuss your needs and hear their recommendations.
