Setting up a comp for EDUbots in NH

Hollis-Brookline HS is interested in setting up a competition for the EDUrobots, we are designing the game, not all of the rules are designed yet, we are planing on a simple design for the game, possibly working off of what FIRST did in the promo video, we are looking to see if any surounding schools are interested in participating...please contact me @ trollin1st@hotmail.com if interested or if you have any questions, thanks

Janice,

I was at one of our team meetings this weekend and I heard about this post. As it turns out, we were actually interested in doing the same thing.....and if I understand it, we have sent out invitations to all the local teams. (yours in particular because of your post)

We are going to run a competition using the rules of the Canadian competition posted above.

I don;t have the "exact" date in front of me here, but please email me if you have not seen the invitation. (same for any other teams in the NH, or Southern Mass area)

My email address is:
bigqueue_qlewis@yahoo.com

I am on Team 811, BG High in Nashua, NH

Re: Setting up a comp for EDUbots in NH

Janice,

It is official.....Team 811 is holding the competition I mentioned above. It will be on Saturday, Dec 14th. We have sent out a number of invitations, and Brookline-Hollis has accepted. (I'm not sure about others yet. No one has declined yet....and I know several teams were meeting this weekend, and would discuss it)

Here are some of the details:
(BTW: I'm not sure what the official name of the competition will be....but I used the name below as a place holder)

-----------------------------

The Bishop Guertin High School USFirst team (Team 811) would like to invite you to the First Annual Winter Rage robot competition.

This competition will be held at the teams "First Base" workshop in the basement of Catholic Charaties, 261 Lake St, Nashua, NH 03060-4127 on Saturday, December 14th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

The competition is designed for robots built from the USFirst EDU Robot kit. (a small scale kit of robotics parts designed to allow FIRST teams to design and build robots in the pre-season.)

The competition is based on the rules of the First Canadian Regional EduRobot Challenge.
(see http://www.firstcanadianregional.org...ics%20game.pdf for game rules)

Four local Southern NH teams have been invited with Team 1073, Hollis Brookline High School already confirming their attendence.

The BG team will also be demonstrating their 2002 robot, and allowing attendees try their hand at driving it themselves!
-----------------------------

This is the email invitation I sent out to yet another team this afternoon. (and I am reworking it to send to the local press)

If any other teams out there are interested, email me. The cost is $0, and a good time will be had by all! (certainly worth the price of admission!)

If you are interested, send me an email. (time is running short)

-Quentin
