Go to Post (The wheels) need to be green anodized, and then assembled with yellow anodized spinners. ... and then, on the spinners, you can etch "JVN is a dweeb". That would be cool. - Andy Baker [more]

Gearbox's

Does anyone have a 3d or a 3-view DWG or 3DS of a gear box used on a FIRST robot? (Your team or others)

I'm a little confused on how these are constructed/shifted.

In the past 247 has used a small pneumatic cylinder to change from high/low gear on drill motors instead of using a shifting gearbox (transmission) so I have not had a chance to look inside one.

Please either send to me via AIM ( Ompha1oskepsis ) or IRC ( Gadget-_-247 on irc.webmaster.com or tP-InfamousGadget on irc.gamesnet.net )

gearbox

Check the whitepaper section of this site. A new gearbox and transmission was just posted. It is not in .dwg format but it is very detailed.

Ask Jack. He's the team animator for 201, and he made a 3DS animation of our gearbox from last year.
