Well let's see...so many stupid things done at the nationals.....
well i can say one of the funniest things was poking people playing the virtual reality games at Disney Quest. Just walking around while people are swinging those fake swords and tapping them on the shoulder. They all freaked out! One person i poked jumped and screamed! It may not seem that funny to you, but i swear it was hilarious!
I hafta say the strangest thing that happened was that i randomly got sick twice. Out of no where. I guess I'll never live that down either, always hafta keep reminding me!

Anyways...I'm out!

Talking

yhea my team (mainly me and someone else) was involved with alot of stupid or funny things, one was we got board as we sat out side our room and we had our ice bucket and we saw a bunny and we started to see who could hit the bunny with an ice cube (luckfully for the bunny we had horrible aiming) another one was the rain at mgm on friday... we just got off the aerosmith ride and it was pooring so we ran to get dinner, thne we desided to leave and to avoid getting wet we ran from building to building to avoid the rain, as if we were secret agents. that is it for clean stories.... oh yhea can't for get me and a few other team member starting a "hey-hoo" chant while waiting for the bus to the all-starts then singing on the bus good times, lol

Not really stupid, but something I found to be amusing:
My team charted a bus from a local company where we are from, and endured a 22 hour bus ride, so we had our own bus in FL. The four floor team members (myself included), and a couple of engineers decided that we wanted to go to Taco Bell. We requested this to our bus driver and he was cool with it. A charter bus pulls into Taco Bell and about 7 people get out. The reaction of people in Taco Bell was very interesting. We then decided to go to Wal-Mart! That was even more interesting when the bus pulled up to the front doors, and a few people get off and go in! This is the end of my ranting now.

The best stunt in Florida...

Ok the best stunt in Florida was not done at the competition site bought rather at Orlando International Airport last year.(It's so good it needs to be told). Our flight gets cancelled due to mechanical errors and we are forced to stay in Florida for an extra day!!!!! So we lodge up at the hotel inside of the Airport the Hyatt I think and we are on the very top floor the 10th. No sooner do I put my bags down then I get a call from the team captain saying toss a frisbee over to his room. I look out the balcony and see its within throwing distance and I rely the information to my buddy Andy and he apoligizes to take the toss. Folks within mere inches it came within his hands but through the butterfingers my friend possesses he didn't catch the frisbee. The next thing you know were watching the frisbee just diagional slice into the lobby of the hotel. This I believe was without a doubt the most stupidiest stunt pulled.

Hehe... the hubcap came off the 15-passenger van (I think it came from there), so the girls thought it'd be nice to present it as a gift to the engineers...

It eventually made its way across the balconies of various rooms...

We were driving back from the competition one day, and all of a sudden we decide to start shaking the van. So everyone around us was probabaly freaking out at this 15-passenger van that's rocking back and forth... fully loaded... heh, that was hilarious.

The stupidest thing I did? Well, for now the only thing I remember is attempting a cart-wheel while walking across an intersection in Florida. My wrist gave way and I fell. Boy, did I feel like a fool...

I guess this would count as embarrassing moment.... but one of our team member's glasses got tossed into the pool, so afterwards, after we had all changed, we were trying to figure out how we were going to get them out of there. I volunteered and stripped down into my boxers (which happened to be loose-fitting), and jumped in. Luckily (for everyone else) they did not fall off.

Ha! Thats loads of fun, I remember that our van did that on the way to the team party in Chicago at MMR.....there was a team (815?) in front of us who were doing it too...we kind of had a mini contest going.....

In the end we obviously won

Well.......there was a lot of ice bucket fights going on. So we thought one of the coaches was the ring leader. Another senior and I got some steel cable from small parts and the crimps for it. Early in the morning we put the cable around the post for the balcony and attached it to his door handle. (Don't worry. We left a freshman next door with cutters in case of fire.) Everything was great until housekeeping saw it and called security. Whoops.

I walked with a bunch of new friends to the exit to Epcot and was standing there when all of a sudden I was bum rushed by my friends and was knocked in a way that I landed on the seat of a flower bed. I was shocked when that happened but what shocked me even more was the fact that my butt was now wet. I got up and pulled the exploded bottle of lemonade out of my shorts and saw that I now had a pocket full of lemonade and that it was slowly draining out and running down my leg! That was interesting!
Thank you Jess, Robby and Ken for that memory!!

There are pictures too (I shouldn't mention that cause they'll end up on this site soon) oh boy!
Well I uploaded a pic of the lemonade incident into the gallery, and I'll have a link to it tomorrow hopefully as soon as it is approved!

(edit) Thanks Jess for always having a camera ready at the best moments!!!

You can all see the picture HERE

Notice the incriminating lemonade bottle siting on the edge of the flower bed on the left of the picture!!

Good times, Good Times!!

At least this year I didn't break a Monorail like I did last year!

This didn't happen at the nationals but it is a story worth telling. One of the team members and myself are always getting hurt(accident prone) You may have seen me at the nationals patch on the left eye and bandage on the right hand(scratched cornea, 3rd degree burn don't ask) anyway since we get hurt alot they laugh at us when we hit our selves with a hammer ,etc.

So here's the story, It goes from the haha he hurt himself to OH MY GOD HE"S GONNA DIE TO, holy c*** that was hilarious can you do it again, it was early in the 6 weeks of building, probly first or second week. We're making the goal. He's drilling a hole, blindly, to attach a flange between the 2 pieces of plywood. So I'm walkin down the hall toward the room he is in. He comes walkin past me quickly, So i give him the nod and say "Hey whats going on Tom", No responds. So i turn around and he's at the water fountain next to the bathroom, then a mentor goes by. again i say "Hey whats goin on" this is when i knew something went wrong, very wrong. i walked up to tom to see A LOT of blood pouring out of his finger. This is the not funny part. so for 20 minutes he's bleeding. Then i go back to the room and find out

1) He was drilling the hole
2) He said ouch really loud
3) The team laugh(routine-not a malition thing, its a way of saying you'll be ok)
4)they saw blood(He drilled a 1/4 inch hole in his finger)
5) he got up and left quickly
6) they siad oh s*** he's hurt
7) he cleaned it out that stuff

To this day he still doesn't use his right index finger when doing anything. Because the bandage prevented him from using it. So next year or if you see us at a summer comp. Team 716 ask to see "Tom's finger" I'm Brian if noone know what your talking about ask to see me.

I don't know what team it was but at our All Star Hotel(Sports) I saw some kids packing up and tossing(!) their luggage from the second floor balcony to the ground below! I even heard one of the kids announce "I'll give twenty bucks to whoever catches my bag" to which another replied "That'll pay for the hospital bill!". I don't know but isn't that why elevators were invented!
That guy screaming from the second floor of the hotel throwing bags down was me. The kid who ended up catching it I only gave a dollar to. But it was all in good fun. We had stayed up all night and did not feel like carring our stuff down the stairs or the hall way. Can't wait till next year.

Okay. I have so many stories! That whole week was like one GIANT stupid act for me and my firends. It was all in good fun, so... I thought it was ok!

After the wrap party, me and a few of my new friends from 151 were walking sluggishly to the busses. During one of our many scheduled stops, you know, by the benches where the busses picked people up. We found this ID on the ground. It was a school ID with a dark-haired guy on it. My friend went up to random people and asked it if it was theirs. It was funny because he was really forceful, and it eventually got to the point where he was telling them that it was theirs and that if they didn't take it he would do something drastic.

Eventually that got boring.

We busted out a dollar bill that belonged to my good buddy Alex and set it on the ground. We wanted to see who would pick it up. When they did, my other friend, Kris, would yell at them and tell them that it was HIS dollar, and that they weren't allowed to touch it. next, we experimented with ways to pick up the dollar. we even went so far as to put a piece of gum on the bottom of a shoe and then drop the shoe and then pick it up. THAT didn't work. After everyone left, we finally broke down and got on the bus.

Somewhere in Disneyland, there is a dollar bill, set on the ground for torture, and then left all alone on the bus.

Interesting.

Oh! if any of you are missing an ID, I prolly know where it's at! ^.^

Ummmm, lets say my team mates and I made a wee bit of a mess in our room with water. So okay, we cleaned it up. Now there were towels, and they were wet. Towel snapping contest. BUt that wasnt good enough. We then took them, and wrapped them on our head like turbans, and created the Talonban. Pictures were taken. Hilarious.

I also got bored one night, and used the coffee machine. But that wasnt good enough either. Had to then make coffee ice cubes. Im in Florida, I dont want a hot beverage. Lol.
