Re: cool new name??? maybe??

When we were brainstorming for a team name, I wanted to think of something that was regionally identifiable, whimsical, and easy to remember. Our team is from Michigan's U.P. and a popular name for people from this area is Yoopers. Combine that with something to give it a little ring and you've got yourself some Yooper Troopers.
The city we're from is Dollar Bay, MI, so there were a few money themed names floating around for a while. "Cash Money" and "Dollar Bills" both came up at some point I think, but the kids went crazy for Da Yooper Troopers, eh.

I like when people can add in something to make the team name personal. If you just go out and make your name the Robo-(animal) or Tech-(noun), people are going to lose you in the sea of other teams with similar names. Especially for a new team, you have to work on building up an image that lasts.
