Go to Post See, building a really great robot is just a pseudo challenge for the concept of the whole FIRST program. It is just a phony way to bring people together to reach one common goal. - sanddrag [more]

Well, in the AZ regional, the team most remembered by all the freshmen was TECHBOT, a team from Mexico (don't remember the number). In fact, we still have a flag or two hanging around in our storage closet.

to the OP: Do you guys play instruments?

Our team is in that state where more or less everybody is new, and the name of the "Aztec/Robot Pirates" is, well, not that appealing. In the past, we have had names like the Flaming Gears and Aztec Ninjas, but those were changed after a year as well. (I personally liked the Flaming Gears! We had a really cool shirt.) However, if you do a quick internet search for "robot pirates", you will get a funny flash animation, and team 2388's website. So I guess we need to change our name, becasue they signed up for it before we did.

Because we are very afilliated with our school we need to keep Aztecs in our name somehow. Currently, the best runner up is AZtec (for Arizona Technology).
