Good Maya Tutorials

I'm fairly fluent with 3DS MAX and want to learn Maya now. any suggestions?

Youtube! I had some good ones when I tried to learn it last year, I don't know if I still have them book marked though. Its really good for NURBS and free form organic modeling.

You should also check out CGSociety and Area (Autodesk's forum)

Re: Good Maya Tutorials

Assuming you're using 2010 or newer, FBX would be the way to go, its Autodesks native universal format, so its fully compatible with most Autodesk products including 3ds Max, Maya, AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit. The FBX imports all of the data from the scene (objects, textures/materials, camera's, lighting).

Other than that, I'm pretty sure Maya will import max's native format, as well as other standards such as IGES, STP, DFX.

Okay. I tried import the .max files if but it doesn't recognize the format so I guess I can re-save those files as FBXs. thanks for you help!
