Re: Convert AutoCaD to Inventor
You can try doing a Save As in AutoCAD. If you can't save it as an Inventor file, you should be able to save it as a STEP File, which Inventor can open. Open with Inventor and save as an Inventor file.

Re: Convert AutoCaD to Inventor
I'm pretty sure you can import a DWG into Inventor. I can't check this out now, because my computer is in between versions (my 2010 expired, and I've been to lazy to download 2011). Look for the Import function, and you should be able to choose a DWG.

Re: Convert AutoCaD to Inventor
Inventor will open .dwg file. Then save as an inventor file.

Re: Convert AutoCaD to Inventor
OP This is good if you're working with solids, if its only 2d you can just import the .dwg file like the previous posters stated.

Re: Convert AutoCaD to Inventor
Select the dwg file to open.
Click Options (before opening). Set to Import. Finish opening. Save in Inventor. |
