Wiring Festos

Hey, I havn't worked with pneumatics for a few years and the time I did use them I was being quickly taught by our old wirer who wasnt the best teacher. How do you wire a festo to operate a pneumatic cylinder? (At least I'm 90% sure its called a festo. It looks like a square with a rounded part, just like a quarter circle.

Re: Wiring Festos

Plastic Festo Solenoid Instructions

Notice that there are two different types of these Festo valves that look the same but require different wiring schemes.
If the valve doesn't operate try the alternate wiring method. It won't hurt it to be wired the wrong way.
I'd test it for the proper wiring using alligator clips before hardwiring it.
When you get it working I'd suggest marking the case with a sharpie noting the proper way to wire it for future generations.
