tclements is an unknown quantity at this point
when do rookie teams get software for team use.

I am on team 4138. I am the coach. I am wondering when the software for the robot will be sent to our school. do I need to start downloading software such as Solid Works or Lab view to a file on my server?

LabVIEW comes in the Kit of Parts, I believe.

For Solidworks, you can request a free license for your team. Contact Marie Planchard:

For Autodesk projects, join the Autodesk education community at :

www.autodesk.com/first

there you can register and download products such as Inventor for free.

If you wanted to do Java on the robot, you can get a head start:

Download this guide;
http://www.kellrobotics.org/files/In...ns_For_FRC.pdf
and this package
http://www.kellrobotics.org/files/ne...se-windows.exe

Visit www.usfirst.org/frc/kitofparts to get more information on the control system

You can go directly to
www.solidworks.com/SponsoredDesignContest

Fill out the form, we only ship software - no download.

For tutorials, go to www.solidworks.com/robotics
