Re: We need a copy of FRC-branded LabVIEW
You can also download a evaluation version of the software.
However, it will not have any of the libraries specific to FRC but is a good way start practicing if you need it. It is available here: http://www.ni.com/trylabview/ We are having a FRC Training Camp here in St. Louis next week and for the Programming session we have our Rookie teams that are coming install this, just to get them started. Before installing the software we will get in the KOP, I would un-install the eval software first. I believe we will be getting LV 2011 in the KOP (we are a Beta Team also) and don't know what version of LV the eval version is. It will probably not be an issue technically but could cause confusion with your team-members. |

Re: We need a copy of FRC-branded LabVIEW
I doubt it will be LV 2011 in the KOP (much to my chagrin too, LV2011 is much improved over past versions).
Historically, FRC LabVIEW is 3 versions out of date. In 2009, we got 8.5.1 In 2010, we got 8.6 In 2011, we got 2009. I would say we could expect LV2010 or 2009SP1 in the kit this year. |

Re: We need a copy of FRC-branded LabVIEW
We got LabVIEW version 8.6.1 in 2011 and this Fall's Beta teams received and performed all their testing with LabVIEW version 2011, so that's certainly what we'll see in the kit this year. An NI rep confirmed that, so it's something up-to-date to look forward to.
