Legal Offseason Work

What are the official rules on legal offseason work for use on the competition robot?

Like I've heard you can't use any non-COTS parts you have (i.e. machined parts for a gearbox) or re-use CAD designs but you apparently can have sketches of designs.

I can't seem to find anything online.

Thanks.

Re: Legal Offseason Work

Vincent,
Check 2011 Robot rules under...
4.3.6 Fabrication Schedule
I would expect the 2012 rules to be similar. Also consider the rules about using parts from previous year's robots. Essentially you can't be asked to stop thinking in the preseason but First does not want you doing any work on the 2012 robot until kickoff.
