All gears will be the same dimensions as a "standard" FRC style gear.

We have used AM's 50T aluminum gear in the past with .003 spacing with Zero issues. We've also done some steel/aluminum gearboxes with .002/.001/.000 spacing. All of the above have worked pretty well.

The recommended .003 should work great for FRC uses.
