Slashdot had an interview with Craig Silverstein, Director of Technology at Google, a while back (July 3rd, actually).

Google is just behind the National Security Agency on my list of places that might be most interesting at which to work.

Newsweek or Time (I think Newsweek) had an article about Google, how it got started, and what the work atmosphere is there. Nothing really about the technology, but an interesting read nevertheless.
