Women's Tournament

I'd just like to say congratulations to all the winners of the Women's robotics tournament. It was a lot of fun to watch. Also, thank you to Lake Orion for 4 wonderful matches. It was a blast!

Unofficial Results

I'm working without notes here, but I believe the alliance of Lake Orion(#91) and Birmingham Groves won, and the alliance of Pontiac Central (#47) and Pontiac Northern (#65) made finalist. Lake Orion won the GM Technical Excellence award, Rochester Adams (#245) won the Spirit of the Competition, Rochester (#201) was the most Beautiful 'Bot, Lake Orion and Rochester had the Best Play of the Day, and Pontiac Central won a special Judges' Award for the Best Overall Performance in terms of the drivers, the design of the machine, and way the mechanics in the pits all worked. I know from talking to judges that there was some close votes with Cranbrook's "goaltender" design getting some beautiful 'bot attention, and Team Rush and Adams were in close competition for the "play of the day." Thanks to the Juggernauts for helping Lawrence Tech host the tournament, and to all the young ladies who showed us an exciting, competitive tournament!
