I think it's good. Imagine that instead of going to, as you put it, the Red team it instead goes to Blue. Blue just scored, so they got points AND control of the ball.

Most games don't work this way (sports and, in our case, Rebound Rumble) because that gives two perks to someone scoring. Because the ball goes to Red, they will likely want to put the ball back into play for a chance to score it for themselves. They could also choose to hold on to it for a while, if desired.

It's like a flashback to Breakaway in 2010, where the goals were also opposite of your alliance station.

In my opinion it's better, and keeps the game moving.
