I was just wondering are we allowed to drive into the opposing alliances alley? I was looking at the rules and I couldn't find anything mentioning it.

Yes, you can drive into opposing alleys. However, read [G28] and [G44]...if another robot even HAPPENS to touch you, you are penalized.
