Well needless to say i saw ALOT of stupid things at nationals, because i hung out with guys from TRIBE most of the time. But The funniest thing i think i saw was one night when i was sitting in my room, and i hear alot of comotion from downstairs where alot of the adults from the x-cats were staying, so i went out on the balcony and looked down and i see two of the engineers from my team holding a cooler on the railing, and then all of a sudden 2 of my unsuspecting team members walk under them and got a whole cooler of ice and water dumped on them. hehe makes me chuckle every time!

Then there was the time i was in downtown disney and all of suddenly realized my shirt was on backwards. No big deal i thought i can just turn it around. well i'm not sure what exactly happened but i had quite a difficult time performing this simple task and ended up flashing some guy and his kid! so then to make it worse, the guy says to me, gee i come to disney world for my kids and get my own show! I think that tops my list for stupidest thing i've ever done

I've got bunches...

Team member sits down on a running sprinkler head making for a very awkward picture.

Spending our free day at Blizzard Beach which involved several runs down the large raft ride without using a raft (watch for dry spots; slide-rash hurts) and a few flips on the two-man slides.

Ordering pizza at two AM because we'd been on planes or busses for about 11 hours. This involved one team member (last name: Fuller) having to spell his name to the pizza guy on a bad cell phone connection... "No,FU...ller!"

And of course... the rain...
Four of us got trapped at the transportation center because the busses weren't going to the right places and the monorails stopped as soon as we got off. So this guy comes up and says he's going to the Polynesian to get the bus and says it's only a couple hundred feet down the path. So this guy sprints off and we try to follow but can't. It turns out the end of the Polynesian is a hundred feet away, but like everything Disney, we had to walk another half mile to the entrance. We also thought it would have lots of busses like All-Star... nope... just one... VERY full one. So after three busses come and go without us on them, we jump in a cab and head for Downtown Disney while the rain lets up. As we watch the cab meter climb, we come within sight of Downtown Disney in stopped traffic. So we throw some cash at the driver and jump out in the middle of an 8-lane road. After that, the night was fine.

I'm sure I'll think of more, but those are the most recent.

During the closing ceremonies we were sitting next to this one team that had really cool frisbees- they're made up of some kind of cloth.. anyway, the kids on that team were flinging the frisbees as far as they could throw them (we were at the very top of the stadium)- and believe me, many unfortunate people got bonked on the head.. it was hilarious, and I still have one of their frisbees

Also- the team behind us had tons of pixie sticks- they were throwing them out.. However, pixy sticks don't go far, so I got at least 200 that evening..

*Anyone get bonked by a flying object while at closing ceremonies?

Now that i think of it....2002 Florida was the personal worst for me. I could have done better. Instead acted stupidly. Probably my last year with FIRST. Set retirement in 2004.
