Download the 2012 FRC Kit of Parts and Field (PTC Creo)

FRC Teams,

With the launch of the 2012 FRC Competition, PTC is proud to be a FIRST supporter. As part of our commitment to FIRST and all FRC teams, PTC has provided the digital kit of parts and playing field. Teams can download the files from the FIRST Product Catalog, hosted by Catalogue Data Solutions - www.ptc.com/go/firstkop.

Good luck to all teams this season!

Regards,
Mark Fischer

Is there any chance that a .stp file can be posted for those of us who don't use the newest version of Pro-E?

Thanks,

Hi Chris,

What release of Pro/ENGINEER are you using?

Thanks,

I am using the latest CREO, but since it's a fully licensed version, it can't read the student version of files. Can you post real Creo files or STEP files? I'd hate to have to load the student version also. If not can you point out pitfalls with having two CREO versions on one computer?

Thanks

Hi all FRC Team,

PTC has updated the 2012 FRC Kit of Parts and FRC Field. Please download the latest version from the FIRST Product Catalog, hosted by Catalogue Data Solutions - http://www.ptc.com/go/firstkop

Within each zip file, you will find a readme.txt file listing the changes.

Good luck to all teams this season!

Is there anyway that we can get these files in solidworks? That would be great.

PTC isn't going to supply CAD files for a competing software package. The reason they spend the money to create these files is so you will use their software.

How do you open up the .stp, .asm and .15 files? I have tried importing into Austodesk Pro, and Google Sketchup, but no such luck.

Re: Download the 2012 FRC Kit of Parts and Field (PTC Creo)

These files are intended to be used with either Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 or Creo 1.0. They are not compatible with any other CAD package and they are not compatible with the "Commercial" edition, Schools only.

You can get details on how to download your own FREE copy of Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 at http://www.ptc.com/go/firstgettingstarted.
