Using Axis Camera to Detect Reflector Tape in Labview

Hi everyone, we're wondering if there's any way to use an "Axis" camera to detect the tape around the rim of the basketball hoop. We're using LabView to program our robot, and we need to know how to program the camera to do this specific task. Thanks,

Re: Using Axis Camera to Detect Reflector Tape in Labview

You will find an example in labview of how to detect rectangular targets. That should help you get started.

Unhappy Re: Using Axis Camera to Detect Reflector Tape in Labview

I have been having great trouble trying to get the rectangle image tracking VI example to work. I can get the color tracking to work, but the intensity tracking display will not display any images. Is there a document on how to get the VI working? Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Using Axis Camera to Detect Reflector Tape in Labview

There is an example about integrating it into the robot framework, and the white paper on the NI site, CD, and FirstForge is to some degree about the example code and the principles it is based on.

If you have problems with the intensity portion, have you moved the slider around to set the intensity threshold? What else have you tried?
