Axis camera

Hello, I need some serious help. I am on FIRST Team Black Hawk 3310 and we have planned to use the axis camera to track the square boxes above the basket ball hoops. I, for some reason, was chosen to find information on the axis camera and as you probably realize information about it is hard to come by. Me personaly have no experience with this sort of thing and don't understand any of it. Will someone help me in at least getting me to understand how to work the axis camera?

Re: Axis camera

The Getting Started manual on from FIRST contains some basic setup procedures for the camera. For more target specific info, there is a white paper on the NI site here https://decibel.ni.com/content/commu...view=documents. It is about third on the list.

There are also tons of posts on CD discussing different approaches and asking questions.

Re: Axis camera

I too have been tasked with the gathering of such information. Me and several friends started a google doc which we are filling with information that we find.

here are a few links to useful CD threads that we found, also a mediafire download of all the PDF manuals I have found on the topic

~ Thread discussing the various axis cameras ~

Thread discussing using the camera:

More about using the camera in code:

Here are all the PDFs I've gathered on the topic:

http://www.mediafire.com/?91vrbqsqjq42q

Includes:
-2009 FRC Vision API Specifications
- 2012 vision targets white paper
- Axis camera info
- Hough transform (technical mathy stuff)
- Position determination
- perspective rectangle detection (kinda useless, but semi-related and kinda interesting.)
