Keep in mind that only one robot per alliance gets to use the Kinect anyway. I hope that all teams build an autonomous routine that tries to score.
The benefit of the Kinect is to take advantage of driver input and deal with unexpected field conditions. It isn't uncommon for robots to get in the way, balls to get in the way, or a field bump or other unexpected issue introduces a problem that the relatively limited auto's don't compensate for. Drivers excel at this situation -- presumably even when driving by waving their arms like a scarecrow. Greg McKaskle
