KoP files for 2012?

Are the 2012 parts going be released on 3dcontentcentral.com? Somewhere else? When?

Many thanks!

Re: KoP files for 2012?

The FRC 2012 KOP and Competition Field are available on the Autodesk Education Community.

I have also created a STEP file of the field for download.

www.autodesk.com/first

All the best for 2012 season.

Re: KoP files for 2012?

If you can load the PTC software, a complete library of the kop is available. Open the files in CREO (ProE) save as STEP. Solidworks will import these fine. I've attached a few for you to see how they work.

Re: KoP files for 2012?

I've got the files working with Creo, but what kind of annoys me is that I can only see them by part number, which is unhelpful because the only one I remember is am-0202 (C-channel). Is there a way to give them thumbnails or show previews or something? I don't want to go over all the files renaming them or changing their icons.

RCMolloy,
The direct link may not help you since the files are on the Autodesk site which requires an account for access. Here is the link to create your free account. From there, look for "Downloads" and "FRC Toolkit Resources".

What about referencing the Kit of Parts checklist? That has thumbnails.

Re: KoP files for 2012?

If you use the File, Open browser in Creo, you can see previews of all the models as you click on them. The preview window is a sliding panel that could be configured in the "closed" position for your installation if you are not seeing it. Just click on the Preview button in the lower right hand corner to open it.
