Team 254 2012 Robot...DONE!
Slipstream wanted another 15 minutes of fame and took a few lessons from MJ.

Nice job! I do have a question for you. How far does the arm extend beyond the edge of the frame?

Re: Team 254 2012 Robot...DONE!
What height is the hoop you scored in at? Is it equivalent to any of the heights of the actual competition hoops?

Re: Team 254 2012 Robot...DONE!
Ironically a design like this would be perfectly legal for the middle level hoop and I would not be at all surprised to see it.

It is? Are you sure? Why would the defending World Champs not read the rules?

Re: Team 254 2012 Robot...DONE!
Yep, Joseph is right. I think that the design committee wanted teams to actually compete and score with the spirit of Basketball in mind.
Shooting for the top would provide a better challenge than to just "dunk it in" (which is illegal and impossible to do with the fender and the 14 in extension limit, for the goals were designed not to be contacted by robots in any way NORMALLY). Last edited by JChavis : 15-01-2012 at 16:03. |
