Re: Team 3266's Prototype Shooter

The shooter is two CIM motors direct drive to two of last year tetrix minibot wheels. The wheels were ruffly at 45 degrees and compressed the ball 2.5in. The shots in the video was from 22 feet, we also tested it from 32ft and it was able to hit where the middle hoops would be. It's a very ruff prototype we built just to test how far the ball went, not the accuracy.

Founding an FRC team as an 8th grader sure wasn't easy, but it was totally worth it.

Re: Team 3266's Prototype Shooter

I was hoping to put those little tetrix wheels to some use myself...

Re: Team 3266's Prototype Shooter

I wouldn't suggest using the tetrix wheels, running at the high RPM of the CIM the tread flew off a few times till we gorilla glued it on. After about two hours of on and off testing the wheels riped up the balls pretty good also. The only reason we used them was because we weren't able to mount any other wheel to the CIM's output shaft.
