Export To STEP with UCS
I have a UCS in my assembly...when I export to another format, i.e. STEP or IGES this UCS isn't included anywhere in the file that I can find.
Any ideas? |

Re: Export To STEP with UCS
Can you give me a bit more detail?
1. What CAD product are you exporting from? 2. Why do you need to export to STEP or IGES? |

I have added a UCS into my Inventor file. When I open the STEP in Pro-e the UCS isn't there with the other coordinate systems. Also, the origin planes don't come through. The group I'm working with uses Pro-e, so we're meeting in the middle by assemblying using a coordinate system rather than model features. The current solution involves opening my STEP and adding a new UCS inside Pro-e. This works, but it would be much easier if the UCS I created in Inventor just came along for the ride. |
