Polycord
This year, we are thinking of using polycord to get balls from the ground, to our ball manipulator/mechanism. I know a lot of teams have used polycord before for this task in previous games, but I was not sure the best way to implement it. Would you suggest using polycord pulleys, or do you have some other proven methods that you think work better?

Re: Polycord
Hey, Michael
I really suggest your looking at the 1836 '09 robot. It implemented the Urethane belts fairly well. IIRC it used 2.5" Delrin turned to have 4 grooves for the pulleys with a 1/2" Keyed bore. 1515 is going with 2.5" ABS with riveted AM Wedgetop tread. Last edited by msimon785 : 23-01-2012 at 02:24. Re: Polycord
We have used pvc rollers with tread to space out the polycord and it has worked great
