Question Qotw [12-22-02]: Your favorite threads...

Hi all. Christmas is almost here, and you know what that means... Yup! It mean Kickoff is less than 2 weeks away!

Woohoo!

This reminds me, it’s been almost one year since the 2002 kickoff... And even longer since the 01' kickoff... 00' kickoff... etc. Thanks to Chief Delphi Forum, I made a lot of cool friends in FIRST, as well as learning all those technical stuff in the competition. That is why I want to ask a question this week, to get people to think back what happened in here in the past years... With that in mind, here is the question of the week...

Question 12/22/02: What are your favorite threads in the non-chit-chat Chief Delphi forums? How about your favorite chit-chat threads?

Have fun .

Hope to see you all at the San Jose remote kickoff, and at competitions in the coming season!

-Ken Leung

P.S. Let's take a break from question of the week next weekend... And keep this thread going for 2 weeks. Holiday should be a time to relax and think about the past. I challenge you all to dig out the best threads in the forum from the past years .

Many.....

I'm always a big fan of the threads that start when people first show off their robot or parts of their robot. It's great to see what people have made trying to acomplish the "same" goal you are.

Cool

My favorite Competition related thread are all these guess threads in the Rumor Mill or the General forum with all the crazy ideas for the upcoming game. Maybe one day in the future we will have that water based game who's discussion comes up every year!
Also the threads on Fundraising are very helpful for everyone involved in FIRST. It gives many great and not-so-great fundraising ideas to all teams, Rookies and Novices alike

As for non FIRST related discussions, the "Word Association" thread is really interesting as is the "Finish the Sentence" thread. You never know what is coming around the next turn! Also the "This or That" thread. There are some touch choices in that one.
Also, the threads that dealt with people's ride such as the "What do you drive" thread was interesting. (I am a bit biased for the car threads though, as I did start one of those!)

What's unique?

Brandon already mentioned one of my favorites. Another is the "What's unique about ur team? thread.

The advice threads are great, but it is really amazing to read the different stories from such a diverse community as FIRST.
