What well-known games do FIRSTers play?

I never heard of it until I was doing research for a new game but when I did it looked good. I bought it and was very satisfied with it. Gotcha. That makes sense. For my team, we choose games based off of what our team members say. For example, my teammates introduced me to Chrono Trigger and Fire Emblem, both excellent games.

You guys didn't mention classic platformers, like Donkey Kong, Mario Kart... We're fond of the antiques. N64 all the way! But seriously, though. My Atari Flashback 2 at home will be very sad to be left out of this poll.

Ticket to Ride playable on any flat platform of adequate size. This is a wonderful board game that has a good mix of strategy with just enough luck to keep it exciting. it is much more simple to explain than RISK or Settlers of Cattan (5-10 minutes), but has great depth of strategy both offensive and defensively. Game last approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour. Very fun from 2-5 players.

Not quite as strategic as Settlers, but pretty entertaining is Polarity. Basically, you've got to use magnetic fields to lean magnets against other magnets, and as the board starts to fill up you start getting unintended consequences as the fields begin to interact. It's great to play with a lot of people, it has suspense kind of like Jenga. (It's also fun to just play with the magnets)
