Go to Post I always thought a trained bio mechanical monkey wrapped in aluminum foil would be the best robot, but every year my team says "No Pete, go sit down." - BuddyB309 [more]

Thumbs up Re: Team 692 Website

Since my thread inspired yours . Your site looks pretty good so far but you might want to go with a website builder like blogger and webs because you can actually learn a ton while keeping your website and template looking pretty good. After using one of those for awhile then you probably to go back to your own template and stuff.

I would try to include some nice gadgets along with the site itself. Some pretty cool ones you could get from would be widget box or other providers.

Re: Team 692 Website

Looking good, it's a nice basic site. It's easy to use, and you've got most of the content you need. I get that the team color is pink, without being blinded by it.

Some suggestions:
  • Most of your pages are missing <title> tags
  • Resize the thumbnails for the Meet the Fembots page -- they are all 500px wide, and it loaded kind of slowly. Resizing will make the page load quicker and look better.
  • A bigger FIRST logo at the bottom would be nice
  • A couple history pages are missing, or images do not load
  • I looked at your source, and there's a loooooot of tables. While it works okay here, you shouldn't use tables for layout in the future.

Re: Team 692 Website

From an all girl team to another, I think your site looks great!I love the color scheme for the site and the background. Robotics related but still classy. I also really like the picture for the banner of the physical sign. If you want to make it a little more prominent I could see adding some graphics to it (to put your menu on top of) and maybe a team slogan with some color blocking. Photoshop would be useful for that if you have it. I love your headers and the simplicity of the white backgrounds for the pages. I would look into adding more pages (which I'm sure you're doing).

Let me know if you have any questions on how to do things, I do our team's site and just made our new site from scratch: team3182.org. You should take a look
