A PC that I have at work:
2003-01-02 03:29:22 EST: 7675 / 25641 Your download speed : 7675885 bps, or 7675 kbps. A 936.9 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 25641025 bps, or 25641 kbps. Your upload speed is much faster than down.. have you tweaked? Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier! I think we have dual OC-3 connections coming into the Lab. In the past, I've been able to move very large files (>>100M) from Microsoft Corp. in Redmond to my desktop at better than one megabyte per second .A PC that I have at home hooked up to my SBC 1.5M/128K ADSL connection: 2003-01-02 03:41:24 EST: 1228 / 110 Your download speed : 1228197 bps, or 1228 kbps. A 149.9 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 110116 bps, or 110 kbps. Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier! Seems kinda low. I frequently get files from work at 160KB/s. -Kevin |
