What are you using to make it turn? Doesn't look like there are any casters or omni wheels.

Any thought on stability when you go over? You get to a pretty steep angle when your center wheels are up on the barrier.

Goes over pretty easy! How high up does the rest of your robot go? Are you worried about it being top heavy and tipping over at all?

Re: FIRST Team 101 Driving over the bump

Looks (to me) as though the front open end of the robot is having some frame flex issues. The inside corners (ball intake opening?) seem to be angled down in relation to the outside corners on the front 2 edges of the chassis.

Do you have any plans to tie the frame together to prevent flex? If you don't, I suggest you look into it. A lot of frame flex will cause your axles to be out of alignment, which will also throw off where your wheels sit in the chassis, and can potentially cause driving issues and loosen chains.

We are using six wheel drive no casters or omni wheels.



For stability we plan to have our drivers go a little bit slower over the bump. and with everything else we have added to the robot since the video was taken it goes over the bump a little smoother

The front open end is already stabilized. We noticed that right away too.

We are going to go up anywhere from 50" to 55" at the moment with everything else we added we have not tipped over yet. If need be will make adjustments so it does not tip over easily.
